About us

A small center with a very big heart.

A Curious Cloud began with a simple idea: childcare should feel like the warmest room in the neighborhood. Our home on El Camino Avenue is full of natural light, wooden toys, plant shelves, cloud pillows and the smell of something baking.

We believe children learn best when they're trusted with real things: real ingredients, real tools, real choices. So our days are hands on and a little bit messy, wrapped in predictable routines that help little ones feel safe enough to be brave.

What we stand for

Six things you'll feel on day one

Curiosity first

We follow the questions kids bring through the door and build the week around them.

Gentle guidance

Big feelings are welcome here. We coach through them instead of hushing them.

Small groups

Low ratios mean real attention, real relationships, and no child slipping into the background.

A garden and chickens

Raised veggie beds, a greenhouse, and backyard chickens the kids help feed and gather eggs from.

Real-life skills

Cooking, pouring, sweeping, buttoning. Confidence grows from doing it themselves.

Safety, quietly handled

Secure entry, allergy aware meals, clean routines, and daily communication home.

Our backyard

A real garden and real chickens

Our backyard has raised vegetable beds, a greenhouse, and a flock of friendly chickens. Children plant, water, harvest, help scatter feed and collect eggs — and some of it goes straight into the Little Chef kitchen.

You'll also get a daily recap every day: what they ate, how they slept, what made them laugh, and the art or recipe coming home.
